Is the recovery email GDPR-compliant?
Customers enter their email at the start of checkout (legitimate-interest pre-purchase contact). Every recovery email includes an unsubscribe footer. The legal basis varies by jurisdiction — read our GDPR notes in the docs.
Does the recovery link expire?
Yes — configurable, defaults to 7 days. After expiry, the link still loads the recovery page but the cart restoration may show "this trip's availability has changed" if prices/dates moved.
What if the customer completes the booking via a different channel?
Once a customer email matches a confirmed booking, the abandoned-cart sequence stops automatically — no duplicate emails.
